We have just returned to our hotel room after our tour with Airboat Adventures.  It was fantastic.  There are no words to describe the fun and excitement I felt.  We were inches from alligators in their natural habitat.  Kevin was our guide and he was so knowledgeable and knew all the best places to go.  He was so good, he was able to out smart the rain and keep us dry.  I would recommend Airboat Adventures to anyone looking for a fun, exciting and different excursion.  I would do this again in a heart beat.

Thank you so much for making my vacation and visit to New Orleans one of the best trips I've been on

Thank you Captain Monkey...I took my niece and her son on an airboat tour when I was there for Jazzfest this year. What a wonderful time we had.Last year we went on another swamp tour on a slower boat but this one was really a lot more fun. We all loved the little baby alligator that we got to hold and take pictures with. It was a great tour I will recommend to my jazzfest friends...and I hope to go again next spring..take care...Cindee

While on vacation in NO, we took many many different tours.  But the most memorable is by far the airboat tour with Capt Sam.  He was informative, entertaining, funny, insane, and wonderfully nice.  I hope you keep him around with Airboat Adventures forever!  GIVE'M A RAISE!!  :)

My partner and I recently had the privilege of going on one of your swamp tours with Capt. Sammy Brooks. I must say that as a native of South Louisiana, I was most impressed with the knowledge that Sammy had with all aspects of the tour and his ease to make six total strangers comfortable and interested in the beauty that surrounded us. Sam's quick eye allowed us to see things that most would have missed, and allowed time to experience the nature that is preserved so well. I also learned so many new things on this trip

The tour was just the perfect amount of time, and traveling via air boat allowed us to reach places a motor boat can not go. What a treat. This tour and our Captain is highly recommended.

Thanks so much for the experience!

This was our very first time to New Orleans or Louisiana and we're so glad we got to go on this tour with Airboat Adventures, especially because we were taken around by Captain Sammy, just the friendliest, most informative, and easygoing guide you could ask for.  You will learn so much from him and he's just a great guy to be around!  Airboat Adventures was very professional and exceeded our expectations, from our pickup at our hotel to the drive to the customer service throughout, and of course the actual adventure!  Thank you so much, to Capt. Sammy and to the rest of the staff...we will be back, and we'll send our friends in the meantime.

We took the air boat tour Monday, January 26, 2009 with Steve and our group had a blast! It was great to have such a knowledgeable and down to earth guide. We learned a lot and although it was a bit chilly we had a great time. My husband, an avid hunter, wants to return to alligator hunt with Steve and I don't put it past him. Thanks for getting us girls to hold lil' Bud. I got the picture!

I just wanted to thank you guys for an excellent tour and experience. Captain Monkey was the best guide I could have imagined. He has a great knowledge of the area and succeeded our expectations. He even shared his personal story about the Katrina tragedy.  Our group was very impressed with his friendliness and sense of humor. Monkey took the time to answer all of our questions and make sure everybody was comfortable.  One of the highlights of the tour was when we got to hold and take pictures with Houdini. I have attached a couple photos from our tour. Thanks again for everything and I will spread the word about your company and Captain Monkey.

On Jan 9, 2009 I brought a group of 7 to the airboat tour. Captain Monkey was our guide and he was amazing!! We had the greatest time and he was very informative.  It especially made our trip when he brought out Houdini and we were all able to hold and take multiple pictures of the little guy!!  The tour really enlightened us and made us more aware of the wildlife.  It is definitely worth another trip out to New Orleans to see even more gators and we can't wait to see the bigger guys!! And definitely recommend to take the smaller airboats so you can get around more.

Thanks for such a great and memorable time.

The airboat swamp tour was the highlight of our weeklong stay in New Orleans this Christmas!  Captain Monkey was hilarious!  The ride in the boat was way fun and it was great to have our hometown tour guide, Cap'n Monkey to take us to the best gator spotting sights and fill us in on the authentic details of the bayou.  We LOVED holding the baby alligator, too!!!  Thanks so much for the cool adventure that we will never forget.

Hello,

Our airboat tour was amazing. We had Capt Monkey, he is the type of person who makes a perfect tour guide..entertaining, insightful, personable and adventurous.  Even though we went during the winter we still saw a bunch of little cute alligators. We saw catfish jumping out of the water. We even got to hold a baby gator. The scenery was so beautiful, I've never seen something so mysterious and captivating. It was definatly worth every penny to go on the tour and have the funnest ride in New Orleans ^.^

My husband and I took one of your swamp tours on our visit the USA and we were more than impressed! We saw so many alligators and enjoyed every minute of the experience. Captain Monkey was an excellent guide and made sure that our adventure was enjoyable and he was very informative. We just returned from a 5 month round the world trip to the USA, Europe & Asia and we must say, our swamp tour adventure was one of the highlights. And also to add, your country is beautiful and we hope to be back sometime soon! Thank you Airboat Adventures!

Aloha! I am in New Orleans this week attending a conference. I arrived a couple of days before the conference, since I come all the way from Kona, Hawaii (the "Big Island"). Back in Hawaii my husband and I own a 34 year old company, called "Captain Zodiac" - an exciting ocean rafting/ dolphin & whale encounter/snorkel adventure tour. I always like to experience other adventure tours when I travel and that is why I chose Airboat Adventures. Your tour was excellent and Captain Sammy was a great guide! He was entertaining and informative -that is a rare combination. The ride was fun and exhilarating and the scenery was beautiful and mystical. Thank you, or as we say in Hawaii, "Mahalo" for a wonderful day!

Just wanted to thank you for an amazing experience!  The Swamp Tour was very informative and a welcome contrast to Bourbon Street.  Our guide, Captain Monkey, was really fun and he did a great job showing us the alligators and teaching us about the area.  Plus, those airboats are really cool!  I would recommend this for family, friends or any group of people.

My friends Chris, Scott, Richard and I were in New Orleans attending a conference. We'd helped with the rebuild efforts in St. Bernard Parish, we'd seen the aquarium and we'd been through the French Quarter. But, we felt our New Orleans trip just wouldn't be complete without visiting bayou country and experience the swamps. I'm so glad we took the time to make the short drive out to your place. We enjoyed our 2 pm tour with Captain Sam. He obviously loves the area and loves what he does. He was able to answer all of our questions and he led us to appreciate the bayou wildlife. He also introduced us to "Swamp Crack", which looks an awful lot like a marshmallow to me..... Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

I've attached a photo of the Capt. luring a gator out of the water with a marshmallow.   <>   <>

Hi,
We (my wife,4 friends and myself) wanted to thank you for the great time we had. We went on the tour on July 18th, 2008 with a nice and intelligent young man named Kevin. He was great out on the boat stopping at all the good spots for watching gators and even having the lil one on board for us all to hold, well except for the wife...maybe next time for her...and Kevin was very knowledgeable about the area. We for certain recommend him as one of your guides.
We will definitely recommend your tours for any one we meet coming to your great area and we will be back in June 2009 for another ride...

My husband, Michael, and I made the Airboat tour on Saturday, May 3, 2008.  I was very skeptical going in but my
husband was not going without me and I didn't want to disappoint him.  Well, it was so great!  Our captain was Cap'n Monkey and he is a hoot!  He was very knowledgeable and "colorful" - he made it so much fun, we didn't even notice we had been gone for 2 hours.  We saw some good size gators and I even held a baby (not to be outdone by my husband)!  We have already and will continue to recommend this tour and your company to our friends.  Your entire staff was so nice and welcoming - It was a family atmosphere.

May you have continued success and we'll be back for sure!

What a memorable time my parents from Kansas, we and our children had with Capt. Dear Mark,

My husband, Charlie Knecht, and I recently took a tour with your airboat company.  Sam was our tour guide's name.  I wanted to tell you that it was the highlight of our trip.  Our guide was extremely well informed and gave just the right amount of information, answered questions completely to our satisfaction and made us fall in love with the area and leave with a  more complete understanding of the delicate balances required to extend the life of this beautiful area.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing a great service as well as what I hope is a thriving business for you.  We will recommend you to anyone we know that is traveling to the bayou country.  Bobbie and Charlie Knecht

The airboat ride in itself was a lot of fun, but to see alligators up close was awesome!  Our guide, Sam was a wealth of knowledge and we learned so much about the area and alligators.  We recently moved here from New Mexico and wanted to learn more about the area and its inhabitants.  This certainly fit the bill.  We will definitely recommend Airboat Adventures to all who come to visit us.  Thanks again for a great "adventure",  Bobby, Dayona and Cynde

Attraction is an understatement when speaking about Airboat Adventures LLC. Our guide, Sam, did an OUTSTANDING job. Hi Mark,

My friend and I were on Sam's tour in the morning on Friday, 5/5.  I just wanted to email to tell you what a wonderful experience we had.  The airboat was really fun, and Sam is the king of the gators.  We had so much interaction with the alligators (Sally, Psycho and Blinky, plus Junior, the 18" baby).  Sam was a very engaging, entertaining guide, and he certainly knows how to put on a show with those alligators.

Mark, I cannot imagine a more rewarding tour.  I promise that anyone within my circle of acquaintance traveling to your area will be informed in great detail of the quality tours you provide.  I look forward to a return trip when I can bring my husband and sons along.

Just wanted to thank Sam for the wonderful private and personalized airboat tour he gave us last week.  It was awesome!  Feeding the owl and alligators (all sizes) was great.  I especially enjoyed holding the 3-year old alligator.  They're soooo strong!  Sam was very knowledgeable and gave us the best tour I've ever had!  Sam really enjoys his work, and if I had to guess, I'd say he's part alligator himself!  The Everglades Alligator Farm in Florida has nothing on you guys.  I'd recommend your tours to anyone in a heartbeat!  What a ride.  Keep up the excellent work!  Ron & Lisa Black, Woodland, CA (April 2006)

Hello! My name is Melissa Yount, and me, my husband, and two friends took the 3:00 airboat tour with Captain Sam on Saturday, February 25.  I just wanted you to know that we had a blast!!  Sam is definitely an asset to your company!  He loves what he does, and it absolutely shows!  We went to New Orleans for the whole weekend, saw and done many, many things, but this is by far the coolest thing we experienced!  I plan to come again this summer. Keep up the excellent job!  Give our best to Sam, and God Bless!  Sincerely, Melissa Yount :)

I had the pleasure of taking your tour with Capt. Sammy on Nov. 10th, 2004.  I chose your company after reading your customer comments.  Everything that has been written proved to be 100% accurate in terms of my experience. IT WAS GREAT and NOT TO BE MISSED!
The six passenger boat allows you to get into some small areas that are both remote and beautiful.  On our trip we saw among other animals, a 7ft alligator up close and personal, a raccoon, and several owls.
I would highly recommend this tour to any one visiting the New Orleans area and who would be interested in seeing this unique and fascinating habitat.

The Louisiana Bayou has snagged our hearts, thanks to Chris and his magical airboat excursion into the water ways around Lake Maurepas.  From the time Ferdinand picked us up at the hotel, and the quiet dawn launch, the trip was bound to be one of our very favorite tours of a lifetime.  Chris taught us about the Bayou, gentle humor, and getting up close and personal with so many forms of wild life, plants and trees.  We were enchanted by the beauty of the sunrise mists, and the information that Chris willingly shared about this very special place.  His respect and admiration for the byways and "highways" of the bayou were very appreciated  by two Kansas Flatlanders.  This was not a "swamp" tour, this was the heart and soul of the Bayou, a living, moving American waterway.  The gators, the ducks, eagles, and most especially the swooping owl were memorable.  Don't miss the opportunity to see, hear, photograph, and enjoy the BEST guide and air boat tour in Louisiana.  You were so right, Chris, the airboat tour lets you get into the "candy store" and not just watch from the outside window.  Thanks again, for a wonderful experience.  We will be back!

Hi Chris,
Where do I start?  Lets start with Sammy.  What a great guy and  super guide.  The man is a walking, talking swamp encyclopedia.  We had the time of our life.  My wife is still smiling ear to ear. We have been fortunate to do many things in our life.  Without a doubt the swamp tour is in the top five.  Speaking for all of us on the boat I think I can safely say "We would recommend Airboat Adventures to everybody".  To Sammy, thank you for helping make some great memories.
Best Wishes, John & Diane Fitzpatrick Tour Date 10-22-04
P.S. Sammy, the Barred Owl lives on the average of 23 years in captivity and 10 years in the wild.

Chris:
My husband Scott and I were in Louisiana last week and had the incredible
experience of a sunset swamp tour, with Captain Sam as our guide. The
swamp is such a beautiful place! We had the opportunity to see many alligators,
frogs, an owl and many other birds. Captain Sam provided a wealth of
information about the animals and the area - we learned and laughed - a
lot.  He's a very entertaining guide!

As the sun set, we were able to enjoy a new and different view of the

swamp. What an intriguing transformation! Captain Sam used a spotlight to show us
various animals along our route. He explained how we could tell one animal
from another based on the glow of their eyes. He also caught a young
alligator and brought it on the boat with us. Then he let me hold it -
what an experience! That little gator was much more scared of me than I could
ever be of him!  We had a wonderful tour! When we visit Louisiana again, we would gladly
take another trip through the swamp land. And we would use Airboat Adventures
again!

Thanks for a great experience!
Sincerely,
Traci and Scott Sciuchetti

Dear Air Boat Adventures/Capt. Sam,
Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful swamp tour on Saturday, Oct. 2.
After being in the airboat for only a few minutes and seeing a gorgeous bald
eagle take flight right in front of us I knew this would be a special trip.
My husband was skeptical when I suggested taking a fan boat tour but he
thought it was amazing and beautiful too!  Thanks so much for sharing your
expertise and knowledge about the swamp and its creatures with us.  It's a
memory of a lifetime.  We hope to bring the kids with us the next time.

Dear Chris
The trip was great.  Even better than the one five years ago!  Like this spot much better.  We will be back and send everyone that we know to you.  Loved the owls, and the little purple birds can't remember what they were called, pretty little things, also everyone at work couldn't believe that I fed the Gator.  It was so relaxing could have spent the whole day out in swamp. I sent some pictures to your e-mail address will have some more once my daughter burns the CD for me. It was the best part of our trip to New Orleans.  Hope you didn't get to much damage from Ivan.  Enjoy the pictures.

Dear Capt. Sam and Folks at Airboat Adventures,

My friends and I get away from kids, worries, etc. once a year and New Orleans was it this time.  One of our friends, Matt, really wanted to go on an airboat swamp tour.  I had never heard of anything like that, but agreed to be "adventurous".  What a huge and very pleasant surprise.  Capt. Sam is extremely knowledgeable and answered every, and I do mean, every question we could possible think of.  The experience was truly nothing like I imagined....it was awesome.  Thanks on behalf of me, Kate, Wendy, Sheryl and Matt from Waco and Tyler, Texas.  We shall recommend you all to everyone visiting and insist that they take the tour!!!  And, by the way, we'll be back as well.  Godspeed.

Sam,
You made a nasty, stinky city come alive as a beautiful place for my mom and I. The Bayou is the place to be - the smell of the air and the peacefulness is a wonderful thing.
Thanks for showing it to us.

Hey, guys!
My wife Kelly and I took your airboat trip this past Friday, when the weather was iffy and we finally decided simply to go for it. After a bit of rain, the sun came out in full force and the rest of the day was perfect!
We wanted to thank you guys (and Capt. Sam especially) for a fantastic experience that we will talk about for a long time!
Getting to meet the gators, Spot and Jumpy, as well as seeing beautiful birds and plant life, really made for a great experience. Feeding the owl was incredible...hope I caught the moment on film!
We will recommend Airboat Adventures to all...you guys are pros, with lots of knowledge, and more importantly, a respect for the natural beauty of that amazing swamp!

Chris-We had a great time on your airboat swamp tour on August 7, 2004 it was the highlight of our New Orleans trip.

I wanted to share some of our great pictures with you and to thank you for taking the extra time to answer all our questions.

The trip was more scenic and fun than we had expected, it was truly an adventure. We would love to do it again!

Hey Donnie! What a fabulous and fun way to highlight a special 40th birthday trip. Two of my sisters and I brought our baby sister to N.O. for her 40th birthday.  She wanted to take an airboat ride and boy are we ALL glad we did! Donnie, you were a great guide! Fear wasn't even a factor when we held the alligator you caught! I'd love to take another tour on my next trip to N.O.  Thanks for such an awesome time! It was the highlight of the weekend!

Mark,
I wanted to write an email to let you guys know what a wonderful time we
had on our trip.  We took the airboat tour on July 7th out of New Orleans.
Our tour guide was Chris.  We had a blast.  I would have to say this was
one of our highlights of our trip.  Chris was very knowledgeable and
thorough on the tour, explaining the ecology of the land and showing us
interesting things.  Of course the alligators were fun to watch, thankful
they didn't climb in the boat.  Lurch was a bit scary.

Thanks again for a wonderful ride and time.

Dear Chris,

Melora and I took your tour Friday July 23  at 9:30am and thought it was the highlight of our visit to New Orleans.
It was an unforgettable experience. I learned a great deal about the swamp and its wild life. It was neat to see the baby alligators, the barred owl, and the purple gallinules.

You know the swampland like the back of your hand and clearly love it. Thanks for your expertise and sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would do it again!

Just want to thank Capt. Sam for the wonderful airboat tour last Thursday.  We saw sights we never thought were possible to see in person.  The osprey family and nest were wonderful, and the gators are fabulous!  The overall scenery was so beautiful we shall never forget it.  We have nothing like it in California.  There is not doubt in my mind that you guys have the best job in the world.  We will highly recommend you to anyone we know going to New Orleans.  We also hope to return someday soon and visit your beautiful bayou again.  Marshmallows have a whole new meaning to us now!!

(July 17, 2004)  Chris, you gave us an EXCELLENT tour!  The 7am tour is DEFINITELY worth the trouble and we thoroughly enjoyed the sights!  The Purple Gallinule, Barred Owls, alligators, snake, egrets, ibis, and gorgeous vegetation provided me with a dearth of great photography opportunities.  Your knowledge of the area--as well as the flora and fauna--was top notch.  Thanks for being so courteous and interested in ensuring our enjoyment.  You showed us such a gorgeous part of the south. We definitely sensed your genuine love of the swamp and its inhabitants.  Our impressions are that Airboat Adventures is an honest tour company that offers fantastic, personalized tours.  We are SO glad we chose it over the others.  For those reading this post, we HIGHLY recommend this company.  Our expectations were definitely surpassed!  Thank you, Chris, for a great tour!  Next time we're in New Orleans, we'll definitely do this again! ---Ben F. & Lisa L. Greetings Chris,
On July 1, 2004 myself and friends from Sweden took the 7 AM tour with Donnie. My friends were thoroughly thrilled with the adventure (so was I). Donnie's knowledge is extensive, and he made us feel very comfortable on the entire trip. My favorite part was when he shut down in the swamp and just allowed us to listen. It was a true taste of the voice of nature! While I am not new to the bayou, swamp or marsh, I learned a lot and will gladly do it again my next time in the area.
In conversation with the many new friends and people we met over the duration of our vacation, Air Boat Adventures came up time and time again with grins, smiles and a sparkle in the eyes. Thank you and Donnie for filling our time with unforgettable memories. I know we will talk about this for the rest of our years.
I will HIGHLY recommend your tour to anyone.

Last Monday, I went out with Capt. Sam. I grew up in Louisiana, and have taken friends on a lot of different swamp tours, but this was was by in large the best tour I had been on. My nephew who is from Boston loved the trip.

I was recommended to you by my brother, Kennedy Smith, who works at Harrah's in New Orleans. After going, I have given him positive feedback and will recommend you to my colleagues and clients when they travel to New Orleans.

My husband and I had a blast on the Airboat Tour in June 2004. Capt. Sam was very hospitable as he led us through the swamp and introduced us to his "yard dogs". Lurch was incredible- when Capt. Sam reached down and rubbed under his head and then grabbed his tail, I couldn't believe what I was seeing!

The limited seating of the airboat made the tour very intimate. Todd and I thoroughly enjoyed our Airboat Tour and would recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans or the surrounding area. It is well worth the money and the drive to the boat dock. Thank you for an amazing adventure!

Our airboat adventure was by far the highlight of our trip to New Orleans.  Donnie was a fantastic guide sharing all his knowledge with us and giving us a great experience.  It was definitely one of those few adventures that stick with your for a lifetime.  The 4 boys will be talking about that experience for the rest of their life, not to mention my husband and myself.
Thanks Donnie, and thanks for getting the light hitched up so we could see the alligators in the dark - Really Awesome

We would like to say thank you to Airboat Adventures and Captain Sam for an experience we will never forget. Everyone that we dealt

with at Airboat Adventures was courteous, helpful and accommodating.  Captain Sam's knowledge of the area was most impressive

and we accessed  some of the most beautiful country (and wildlife) we have ever seen.  What was even more impressive

was when Captain Sam stopped the boat, strapped on his waders, climbed over the side and pulled a 5 ft. "gator" out of the swamp!

We can not wait until our next trip. Thanks again to Captain Sam and all of the staff at Airboat Adventures.

Kim and I had a GREAT time and plan to go again next year; perhaps on a sunset trip. Your in-depth knowledge of the wildlife,                          ecology and local history provides your customers with all the background needed to have a truly enjoyable "Bayou" experience.                                We recommend it anyone who enjoys the outdoors and nature. Dear Chris,

Our Airboat Adventure was without a doubt the best fun we had on our recent trip to New Orleans.  It was great being on the airboat (which only seats a max of 6 passengers - so it was very much a "private" tour).  We saw all kinds of wildlife including alligators! It felt like we were traveling in an episode of National Geographic.  Our guide Sam was fun and knowledgeable.  I highly recommend this trip even if you only have a few days in New Orleans!

Thank you, Airboat Adventures, for giving us the best time we had in the New Orleans area!  We were there in mid March and our guide, Donnie Miculek, was very knowledgeable about everything we may have pointed at or asked questions of.  He also told us the  history of the area. He was very good at making sure my daughter was involved, like throwing marshmallows to the alligator and asking if she had any questions. My daughter loved weaving through the cypress trees and flying fast across the grassy marsh lands. Thank you again! Dear Folks,
My boyfriend and I took a trip to New Orleans this past March.  When he asked me if there was anything I wanted to do, I said I wanted to go on a swamp tour.  He immediately found a more "traditional" tour - larger boat, et al - but I wanted an airboat, the ones you saw in the movies.  Being a lifelong Yankee, it had always been a fantasy of mine.  Well, he found you.

That was the most fun I've ever had on a trip.  Both of us, really.  We were guided expertly by Donnie Miculek who weaved in and out of the fabulous cypress trees, slowing or stopping to point out the intricacies of your wonderful landscape.
We both feared a "wanna-be" comic guide and were utterly thrilled with Donnie.  He was funny, warm, extremely knowledgeable

and charming.  Our only regret was that he didn't invite us over for dinner! We got off the boat wanting to get right back on and do it again!

We've returned with scads of photos form the swamp including one of me holding a young alligator - which made quite the stir up here in Massachusetts.  We plan on visiting New Orleans soon and will no doubt come back for another tour!

Thank you so much for an incredible experience.  It was wonderful!

One of the most fantastic time we had while in New Orleans was during the  tour we took with Airboat Adventures.

In spite of the warnings from other tour operators that we would not see any animals on an airboat and that our

young son would be very uncomfortable, all three of us had a wonderful time. We never came across another swamp

tour boat during the whole two hours and we saw lot's of animals: nutrias (babies and adults), white egrets, blue

herons, ducks, and we even had the privilege of seeing a  pair of  bald eagles. We can wholeheartedly recommend
this tour to anyone who wants to visit the Louisiana swamp without being with a horde of other tourists!

We have been on airboat rides before in Florida's Everglades, but nothing even comes close to this swamp.  It was far more beautiful and fun.  Our guide, Sam, was attentive to our wants -- I asked to see some camps and he took us to see exactly what I imagined/wanted.  Well worth the money and we'd like to come again.  Only suggestion is if you're trying to find them, it's hard to know what parking lot to meet in (they use a public launch dock)...maybe a sign or something would be a good idea???  Anyways, it was awesome and my boyfriends said, "This swamp kicks Miami's swamps' ass!"  :)

I recently made my first trip to New Orleans and I have been raving about it to anyone who will listen!  One of the highlights was definitely the Airboat Adventures Swamp Tour!!  I have traveled around the world and always try to take some type of tour of the places I visit.  This was, without a doubt, a favorite!  Seeing a part of Louisiana that would otherwise be off limits was really a treat.  The swamp was beautiful, mysterious, and exciting - completely different than anything I had seen before.  The boat ride was definitely a thrill - more like a roller coaster ride at times.  Our guide (Chris) was knowledgeable, fun, a true American version of "Crocodile Dundee"!  The fact that he was a total hunk didn't hurt either!!  Seeing an alligator in such close proximity was wonderful and scary at the same time.  I have new appreciation, and a better understanding, of these creatures.  This was definitely unforgettable - not to be missed. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!!!!!

We started out the month of October in the swamplands of Louisiana,  now the month is over so the N.C. Swamp Foxes are getting together tonight
to look at all the pictures of the tour and our trip to New Orleans.  We still all agree that the swamp tour was the highlight of our trip.

I've looked at the website (it's a great website, compliments to it's creator) and you have so many interesting events coming up.  My Dad
would love to do the Duck Hunt. He's an avid hunter.  I have two Labrador retrievers - they would love it as well.  We are outdoor
folks.

It's a beautiful day here in Carolina.  The same cool, crisp, sunny day like we had for our tour.   And, I feel great.  Life is good. So
naturally this day takes me back to the beauty, peace, and tranquility of the swamp.   But, the swamp also has mystery. Along with the serenity
above the water's surface, comes the mystery and excitement of the huge, powerful gators that live below.   That is so exciting!

Thanks again for a wonderful tour.  Airboat Adventures truly does have something for everyone.  (I should be paid for advertising for you guys.)
Have a great day.

Thank you for the most excellent adventure, the airboat tour was truly a highlight and most appropriate activity for our bachelor party weekend. Captain Sam is an exceptionally informed guide who's well attuned to the nature of the swamp, the six person airboat is clearly a superior mode of transport, and we also enjoyed the company of Mary Jo, our driver. The marsh was a very interesting and surprisingly pleasant place, and I look forward to visiting another time, hopefully for a longer duration. Thanks again!

Capt. Sam,  I had a great time on the swamp tour. It was all I expected and more.  You were very informative and very  patient to answer

Captain Sam was absolutely phenomenal!  His love and passion for the swamp was truly evident.  He asked us about an hour into the tour if any of the six of us had anywhere we had to be later.  He said he didn't mind going over the allotted time, and we certainly enjoyed every moment of it.  He answered multiple questions and had lots of fun anecdotes, stories of his childhood "out on the swamp" and the expertise of a naturalist when it came to the vegetation, wildlife, and waterways.  His easy-going, unassuming way was a pleasure.  He worked hard at getting the gators to come to the side of the boat and patiently brought them in closer with the infamous marshmellows!  We have a much better appreciation for chicken legs and marshmellows!  Thank you, Sam, for your kind and fantastic tour.  You were the highlight of our trip to Louisiana.  We'd love to send some more business your way:)

Recommend this tour to everyone. Had a great time. Using the small 6 person boats are the way to go, more personal then sitting there with 30 others. Donnie was our tour guide and we could not give him enough praise, being a ex-Fish and Game made it that much better. He knows the area and the history. Thanks again for a great tour and we will be back for another tour the next time in town.  Donnie, I'll hold you to the hunting trip, I'll bring the Lobster.

Chris,

The Airboat tour was the highlight of my husband's birthday weekend in New
Orleans.  We all loved it.  In all the years that we have been coming to New
Orleans we have never done a Swamp Tour.  We really have been missing out on
Louisiana's natural beauty.  Thanks for putting this together.  It is a must
do for anyone visiting the area.

Kind Regards,

Dear Chris,  I have to tell  you that the Swamp Tour was the most exhilarating part
of our trip to New Orleans. The tour gave me a new appreciation and
respect of the natural beauty of our nations swamp lands, and the
wildlife there. The name of your company should be "Awesome" Airboat
Adventures.  I have told my friends when they go to New Orleans they
must go on your tour.  It is so evident that you love what you do, and
love educating people about the the swamp lands.  It was great meeting
you and the experience will last me a lifetime.

I just wanted to let you guys know the tour we took with you Donnie was beyond words!  Your being so passionate about the Swamp made our trip the highlight of our visit to New Orleans.  I left there feeling rejuvenated from our long flight to New Orleans from California!  I also left your tour well-informed of the New Orleans Swamps!  Seeing the Alligators, Owl and other birds was very exciting!  The fact that your boat only seats 6 made it very personable... the airboat and it's ability to maneuver in and out of the miles of private swampland was great!  I (we) will highly recommend this tour to our friends!
Sincerely,

Chris,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say THANKS! for the awesome swamp tour.

I had done a lot of research before I booked the tour as I really  wanted it to be the real thing.

Not some big boat tourist trap. I couldn't be happier with the end results.  Sam

our guide was wonderful, we set out early Sat. Sept 6th @ 7:30, this was the perfect time of day.                                                                  We saw all kinds of wildlife, and Sam always took time to stop and give us all the
history of the area and info on what we were seeing. This was my first time
to New Orleans, and my husband's second.  While I enjoyed the city and all
its sights, Saturday with it's early morning swamp tour and then the private
tour of the Evergreen Plantation that you had arranged for us were by far
the best part of our trip.  I want to thank you and your crew again for all
your help in setting up the plantation tour, and for making our trip to New
Orleans one I will remember all my life.
I highly recommend this tour to all!! We can't wait to come back with the kids.

Hi Chris!  Karen and I are back in sunny (and dry) San Diego County, California and I just wanted to let you know how great a time we had on our air boat adventure on the morning of the 4th of July.  Of all the things we did over our week-long stay in New Orleans,

Just got back from our weekend in New Orleans.  My son and I were there to celebrate his 21st birthday.  Yes, of course we toured the Bourbon Street area but it was nice to get away from it all in the swamp.  Captain Sam, my son, and myself were the only ones on our particular tour so it was a real personal tour allowing plenty of time for questions and answers.  We really enjoyed the tour, the information, and the up close visit with Lurch.  We even stopped a moment to talk to some locals at their swamp-house.  Great adventure, keep up the good work.  See you again!!!

This was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay in New Orleans! We enjoyed everything about the tour, from the fun of riding on the small airboat to Ben's willingness to talk (knowledgeably!) about and look at things of interest to us. But the unquestionable highlight was Ben catching a 5 foot alligator and literally bringing it onboard for us to see and touch! Definitely a unique and hands on experience we'll never forget.

My husband and I took a combo tour on Saturday June 15th.  It was great! Our van driver was very personable.  He grew up in New Orleans and was very knowledgeable.  He made some good suggestions for restaurants and gave us some interesting facts about the city.  Evergreen Plantation was beautiful.  Our guide was very knowledgeable about the plantation and very passoinate on the subject.  She was great.  The airboat tour was wonderful.  Our guide Ben was very nice.  He also seemed to really enjoy being out in the water.  He was able to answer all our questions. We saw a lot of wildlife.  I enjoyed seeing the turtles sunning themselves on the logs.  The gators were neat and came right up to the boat.  This was our fourth time to New Orleans and this was the best tour we have ever taken.  When we come down again, I hope we can do your tour again. My vacation is over and I'm back at my desk with work piled up around me, and ... I want to go back to the Swamp! We had such a great time there. The weather was perfect, the scenery was all I had imagined. It was like a postcard. Capt. Sam told us some swamp history and taught us about the ecology and the animals and the way the swamp works. I'll always remember holding that alligator. The airboat was really great fun when Sam opened it up, and that shady, secluded trappers' cabin was very intriguing. What a wonderful place to have grown up! Your crew was courteous, friendly, and seemed eager to show us visitors a place that they were proud of and cared for. The small group size (4 in our boat) made it easy to get a personalized experience. When I think about my next vacation and make plans for getting away from the office again, I'll remember the swamp and what it felt like to be hidden away from the world for awhile. Your tour sets a high standard that other vacation get-aways should try to meet. Thank you very much for the memories. -- Dennis

Hey guys, This is the group from Canada that you took out last Sunday. Sammy was our guide. The tour was awesome and the fresh air was welcome. Loved the gators and loved my friend continually not understanding how you can tell a male gator from a female! LOL. She's not usually that slow but had about 10 hours sleep (if that, in 3 days). Boy, were we rough. Sorry to Sammy if we were pretty quiet....we were hurting very, very much from all the Hurricanes. Anyways, thanks for the fun, relaxing day and your swamp is amazingly beautiful. Dear Chris,
As a native, and one who is employed at an  historic manor house in the area, I have seen many swamps and enjoyed many different tours, however my recent airboat "adventure" rates right up there at the top of my list. My out of town friends said it was the highlight of their visit to New Orleans - and we saw a lot in the week there were here. Your airboat adventure presented our beautiful swamps in a way I that have never seen them before. There is nothing like a personal experience to  make you appreciate the beauty and complexity of this environment.  I will be recommending this adventure to visitors in the area so they may experience and appreciate the hidden beauty of southern Louisiana for themselves.
Thank you for being there for all of us.

Chris- It was memorable and enjoyable; cold, but enjoyable! Thanks for providing sleeping bags, we would have otherwise been chilled to    the bones. The kids had a great time, as did my husband and I. Alan was dynamite and lots of fun! The shuttle service w/Hussan was          great too! He stopped by the hotel and picked up our luggage on the way to the cruise ship. Hopefully we tipped him enough. I thank           you for all the arrangements and a pleasurable time. It will be remembered for a long time to come and I'd recommend it to others in a heartbeat.  Thanks again, and God Bless,                                                                                                                                                    Kim, Bill, Aubrey & Bryce  (March 29, 2003)

Dear Ben,
I remember what not to call you!  I seriously have to say, my children and I had a wonderful time.  My son is 14, my daughter 16.  We had the best time with you in the airboat!  Even my son having a baby alligator wrapped around his neck!  What great pictures.  They now have a greater appreciation of the wetlands and it's creatures!  My daughter wasn't looking forward to the trip, but it turned out to be a highlight for Spring Break.  The knowledge you imparted was fantastic!  I looked at many brochures and many of the signs on the way to your dock.  Many of them were cheaper and had great advertisements.  I was wondering if I hadn't made a financial mistake.  After the tour, I have no regrets.  A fantastic time was had by all!  I would do it again in a heartbeat, and will, if we pass by that way again.  Thank you Ben!

Chris,
We truly appreciated the wonderful tour Benjamin gave us on Monday afternoon. The small group provided an intimate, personable tour through the swamps and marshland. We were very impressed by the knowlie talking about the Spanish moss, other trees, plants and animals. The most enjoyable part was cruising in and out of all the old cypress trees with the reflection of the tall trees in the water deep into the swamp.  You really have something to offer all the visitors to New Orleans.  Thanks, Mike Marino,Jr. Speaker, Entertainer and Licensed Tour Guide

Hello Chris -

We just wanted to drop you a note to let you and all your website visitors know that we had a great day touring Evergreen Plantation and Airboating the swamp 2/15/03.

Renee did a wonderful job covering the history of not just the plantation but also of Louisiana plantation history and Creole beginnings. Evergreen is very scenic and a treasure to view and learn about. I was surprised that Renee was not a member of the family who owned Evergreen - she seemed so comfortable recounting its history.

If anyone wants to take a swamp tour - the Airboat method is the way to go. This was our third swamp tour, though yours was far and away the one that made us feel we were making our way into swamp and marsh lands that other folks just don't get to see. Being able to travel on what looked to be less than an inch of water and work our way between trees, took us in for alligators, nutria, raccoon, numerous birds and even a bald eagle - probably other animals that were watching us even if we weren't spotting them.

Benjamin provided us with a local young-adult perspective on the fish, animals and lifestyle of the swamp and surrounding area. He was great to be with and provided us with knowledge and entertainment and a sample of his alligator roundup skills.

We will be coming back to tour the swamp with Airboat Adventures again. Next time braving the warmer months to get a taste of the swamp in another season.

All the best .

We are so happy we chose your organization for our swamp adventure.  It was the most professional, thorough and thrilling adventure - most definitely the highlight of our New Orleans vacation!  Thank you to Chris for the personal attention and the great conversation during lunch.  Thank you to Benjamin for his knowledge and humor while navigating us through the swamps.  While we did not see Benjamin waist high in the swamp with a nutria or alligator in hand, we loved our trip!  Thank you all for the great memories and we will definitely watch for you on the National Geographic Channel in March!

Hi Chris and Benjamin, January 7, 2003 cold weather and all we enjoyed an exhilarating day on your airboat. An adventure it was with Benjamin at the helm. We were most impressed with Benjamin's ability to navigate through the most narrow of passage-ways. Many thanks Benjamin. As my uncle from England summed it up for all of us 'The airboat was the highlight of the trip to New Orleans'. Many thanks Renee for an excellent narrative. Chris & Benjamin: We have been trying to think of a way to adequately describe our day with you and we are still at a loss for words. To describe it in one word, it would be "Won-der-ful". The one thing we keep thinking is "We were not ready for it to end". Even though it was colder than %@X!^&*, we still experienced the best part of our visit to New Orleans! We would also like also to thank you for the tour of EVERGREEN PLANTATION. What an incredible feeling to stand on that lane paved with shell, lined with Live Oak and see the 22 cabins that served as slave quarters in their original locations. It truly was a memorable moment. We felt transported and connected to a time long ago. Should we have the opportunity to visit "NOLA" again; another tour with Airboat Adventures would first on our list of priorities. However, we would want to spend no less than a full day out in the swamp with you guys. Thanks for an all-around incredible experience! With warm regards: Alan & Sue Zentz

Hello Chris and Benjamine, My mother and I were on your tour 1-7-03- We had such a nice day!! Your whole operation from start to finish, was thought out and perfect for a day adventure. The Evergreen Plantation was very interesting- we never realized how diverse the cultures were. We always just thought French & American influences- We were hoping for a tad of a warmer day, to walk around the property, but Mother Nature did not rain on us :> Having a lite lunch was just perfect, also-- The restaurant folks were real friendly !! I was not aware we were going to stop, but it was perfect timing--- Your guide Benjamine (I hope this is spelled correctly) was such a delight !! He really made the trip so " MUCH FUN " --- If he would have wrestled an alligator- that would have topped off a perfect day. We were sitting up front & thank you so much for getting the sleeping bags, it made the day comfortable. Well when we hit the marsh, that was the best. My Mother was holding on for dear life, & just loved the thrill. Tell Benjamine, we had a marvelous afternoon. His stories and route was perfect, what a really nice young man!!!! Chris, your recommendations for restaurants, was a big help-- You have no idea- We usually ask the locals, but you gave us all the scoop without a nudge. You truly are a people person, and made everyone feel at ease. (like you had known us all, prior to our outing) We went to Christians (we decided that was the best meal and service, during our trip)...Also The Acme Oyster House (the fresh oysters topped off Wed. afternoon) We truly Thank You for a Great Adventure!!!! And a DAY FOR THE BOOKS! Friendly regards, Laura Price Huber Heights, Ohio

FOLKS, HERE IS MY TWO CENTS WORTH REGARDING BILL'S EMAIL (BELOW).  He suggests we use outboards to access the swamp.  Obviously, folks, Bill has never been in a swamp or he'd know that's impossible!  Anyway..... Dear Bill, where does it say we use our airboats on a WMA? Did you know we run our tours on 12 square miles of PRIVATELY OWNED land?  Bill, have you ever been on an airboat? Did you know that animals acclimate to noise (studies prove this) and that we see deer, up close (25-40 yards) on our tours about one of every five trips (not every 5 days, every 5 trips). Did you know we see the same deer (plural), in the same area, about once a week? That often we will stop the boat, tell the passengers, "This is where we usually see 3 deer, a doe and two yearlings.", and then lo and behold, Bill, we go another 50 yards and what do you think we see? Did you know that in the spring, we have owls that come to the boat because they know that small fish and crayfish will be washed up on the bank? Did you know we have stopped to watch owls from approximately 15 feet, and have, on more than one occasion, had them swoop down to catch a frog, minnow or crayfish, coming so close to the boat that their wings hit the gunnel (do you know what a gunnel is, Bill?) Bill, did you know that every year we educate thousands (yes, thousands) of people about the importance of wetlands, about the critical need for funding of our wetlands restoration projects and freshwater diversions, about the problems with saltwater intrusion, subsidence and coastal erosion? Bill, did you know the Mississippi Delta has shifted position 6 times in the last 7,500 years? Do you care? Do you know that, if not for human intervention, the Mississippi River would have switched to the Atchafalaya channel in 1973? Bill, do you know that the airboat is the ONLY way we can get into the places we go? That's right, Bill, you can't take an outboard, you can't walk, wade or paddle, you can't take a canoe, kayak or pirogue. So, Bill, how do you propose we share this dynamic environment with our visitors? Oh, that's right, we're supposed to use an outboard motor!  Bill, do you know that our guests get so much more than an airboat "ride", and that they all leave with a deeper appreciation of our wonderful wetlands? Maybe that's why we're the most expensive airboat tour, Bill, but maybe that's also why we're the best.  Can you kind of get a hint of this by reading our guestbook, Bill, that it's not about the airboat, but about the beautiful place we show them and the knowledge, information and passion we share with them? Bill, get your facts straight before you accuse people of doing things you obviously know nothing about. Chris Raggio, Airboat Adventures.

I have noticed that some of your airboat tours take place in a public wildlife management area. You should be banned from using noisy airboats in such an area. The WMA should be used with outboard motor boats that are less noisy and intrusive than airboats. Please try to find another way to take people into the swamps besides airboats if you feel you must use this management area for your tours.

Chris and Donnie, I just wanted to say what a great time we had at the plantation and on the airboat. Although the weather was cold (for New Orleans, not for Canada - December 6th) and there were no Gators, we saw all sorts of other animals and birds. What a blast, it was the highlite of our trip. We can't wait to come back in the summer to take the tour again and meet the gators. eh! Special thanks to Donnie, for taken the extra time to take us down by the river to see the Bon Fires to light the way for Papa Noel. Overall it was a great experience and memories that will last forever....Thanks...

Hi Chris, Could you show this mail to Benjamin please? Thanks. Hi Benjamin, Most of the people in your guestbook are from the USA. We want to say that we, 2 Belgian girls, really enjoyed our tour with you november the 3th. I hope you remember us. Your swamp tour was great, but you were more interessting. So cute, so funny, so enthousiastic! It was a beautifull experience and we learned a lot. We would recommand this tour to anyone from Belgium to go to the 'Airboat adventures' in Louisiana. If you ever travel to BELGIUM? Don't doubt to sent us an e-mail. You are welcome, as we were in the USA. Benjamin, we're a little bit worried about your leg when you felt on the airboat by pushing a tree (in the swamp). Were you allright? Oh, and we didn't find your favourite café between Alabama and Florida while our trip to Florida. Please send us an e-mail back!! greetings, Melinda and Tamara xx

I have photos to send you from our trip last week and need a mailing address. My dad and I had a great time in spite of the cool weather. My boys and my husband couldn't believe that I actually held an alligator, but the pictures were proof positive! (I think I'd rather hold my dog, "Lucky", more than the alligator on a continuing basis! Happy Thanksgiving! Peggy McClure

Dear Chris: Thanks again for so graciously accommodating our entire family of 12 on your tour (11/22/02). We were all in NO celebrating my 40th birthday. I did a lot of things while I was there to help me forget about turning 40, but nothing made me feel more young--or ALIVE--than holding that alligator! Your tour was indeed the highlight of our trip: more exciting than meeting the New York Nicks (they were staying at our hotel); more exhilarating than the debauchery of Bourbon Street; more thrilling than grave yards, vampires, and haunted houses; and even more interesting than the big movie being filmed in the streets of the FQ! Our group ranged in age from 5 to 65 and every one of us enjoyed the tour because there was something for everyone: speed, scenery, wildlife, history, and best of all, hanging out with locals (the guides and the critters). To any one considering this tour: pass on the parade, miss the jazz music, skip the shopping, and definitely by-pass those party boat tours. Get yourself on Airboat Adventures for a truly wild ride. Chris, Thanks again for taking such good care of us. The girl who couldn't come on the tour was very unhappy when I told her about the good looking manly men who were our guides. The snacks you brought with you were great - we'll all be on the internet trying to order tasso. We enjoyed some beer and shrimp for dinner too. Really, would not have gone to a place like that without Ron's recommendation but the food was great and the price was right! Thanks again for everything and I'll be sure to pass the word about what a great tour you guys have.

Hello Chris, Now that I am back from travelling (I went straight to Italy and then France after coming back from New Orleans!), I wanted to drop you a quick note about our Swamp Adventure: FANTASTIC! My delegates and I had an amazing time discovering the swamps and their natural beauties. And we encountered at least 7 alligators! Both our guides (Benjamin and his colleague) were very knowledgeable and so enthusiastic about their jobs and the swamps that we could have spent at least another 2 hours with them. Needless to say you will hear from Eclipse in the future should we have another group in New Orleans! With best wishes, Sandra

Chris, I have only gone thru a few of my photos from our "swamp tour" on Monday with Benjamin. I am still talking about it to anyone that will listen! I truly enjoyed it. Its right up there with my trip to Africa last fall, and I didn't think many things would come close. The swamp is beautiful in its own right, just as the Serengeti in East Africa, or the mountains in Yosemite valley...... This was my second trip with my Nikon digital, and I am very happy with the way it performed. I just used it for a photo session earlier in my studio and it does great with studio light too......the digital world has got me hooked, and not so very long along I was NOT a believer or even interested in shooting with one. If you ever have any questions on photography issues, please feel free to email me. Thanks again, and be sure and tell Benjamin thank you too, I'll send you more photos as I go thru them. Jody Ross

I especially wanted to let you know how great our driver (Tim) was. He was very funny and kind, althought we saw no gators on the boat ride , Tim spotted 1 on the way back and did a U turn so we could all take a look (thru my camera) at least now we can all tell our friends we saw 1. Thanks again for the special attention you gave me. Evergreen was also very beautiful (those oaks!) We will definitely use you again on our next trip to New Orleans and we will be coming back, unfortunately not soon enough. Thanks Again Dan & Kathleen Cleary p.s. My friends Rachel, Jake, Ashley, Jim, Jacob and I went on one heck of an amazing ride with Airboat Adventures. We traveled with Chris across the water cringing each time our boat flew over a log or piece of debris. We made friends with snakes, alligators, small furry creatures and spiders. I learned that an airboat goes super fast, swamp-smelling perfume would not be profitable on the market and that my boyfriend does not like to touch venomous animals. I recommend Airboat Adventures to anyone eager for an exciting thrill through Louisiana's beautiful bayou. Yams

Donnie and Chris. We wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed the swamp tour on Saturday. It got off to a rocky start when our guest from Tenn. fell into the boat and dislocated her finger and hurt her knee but it only got better from there when Donnie was showing off a baby gator and he turned his head for a second and the gator decided to go for a quick snack. That gator had Donnie's fingers in his mouth for about 7 or 8 min. It was a little bit scary but quite adventurous. Where else but La. can you have so much fun all in one day. Thanks for the fun and great adventure. Terry and Felicia Wilson and friends from Tennessee

Hi Chris: I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know what an AMAZING time we had with Airboat Adventures on September 12, 2002. It was our first time to Louisiana and the tour of Evergreen Plantation and the swamp were the definite highlight of our trip. I know most plantation tours (with other companies) last around 30 minutes, so as you can imagine I was thrilled to have a one and a half hour tour of the Evergreen Plantation. Not only was Janet (our tour guide) knowledgeable, she was able to give us a personal perspective on the history of Evergreen, which of course allowed us to "transform ourselves back in time". I also appreciated the fact that Evergreen is the only intact and fully operational plantation in the south today.

Now as for the swamp tour......what a Blast! Benjamin did a fantastic job guiding us through the swamp. Besides the fact that he is probably the best looking man on the swamp, his southern hospitality, knowledge and humor made our trip a pure delight. I still cannot believe that I had a three foot alligator wrapped around my neck! Luckily, I have pictures to prove it. I also found it amazing to see deer living in the swamp, Benjamin said it would be rare to find them, but he knew where to look and sure enough there they were. I would certainly recommend Airboat Adventures to anyone coming to Louisiana (in fact...I spent Thursday night and Friday morning telling people about it and giving them your website address). Chris, thanks for such an amazing trip (and for lunch), it certainly exceeded our expectations. Lisa and Kelly Toronto, Ontario Canada

Chris, Thanks for arranging the airboat swamp tour on Sunday. My two older children and the family from Seattle had a great time. Benjamin told plenty of great stories that Cullen (age 6) is repeating to everyone at school (for example, how the cute furry otters are so vicious and eat alligators). We all enjoyed the unique and Louisiana experience. I will continue to share my experience with others. You should hear from others in the family soon. Tell Benjamin thanks for the great experience. "Hi Jaymie, We had a GREAT time on our tour! It was definitely above and beyond what we had expected to get. The airboat tour was incredible, great guide, extremely personable and knowledgeable...and brave...maybe a little crazy, too. It was fabulous. The plantation tour (Evergreen) was also wonderful, it gave us an entirely different perspective on history there. The plantation guide was also fantastic. It was just the two of us on this portion of the trip, and we really enjoyed the one-on-one discussions with both her and the man who drove us to and from the tour. The trip was worth every dime, and everything went off without a hitch...no problems, no suggestions for improvement. Thanks so much for your assistance, my boyfriend and I considered this tour the highlight of our trip! Best Regards, Jessica Cole"

Chris,Thank you so much for the chance to go on one of your tours. This was quite an experience (even though we live here) and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this to our out of town guests, as well as our friends with children. My son, Jesse, loved the boat ride and the alligator feeding. He was a little disappointed that we were unable to find a snake; however, I was pretty grateful for that. In fact, my husband and I both learned a few facts that we had not known previously. Hi Chris, I would like to let know how much I enjoyed the combined tour. The Evergreen Plantation was a marvelous tour of an original plantation. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history behind this remarkable home. Her tour was very informative and provided a unique insight into the way people lived during the last 250 years. The Airboat tour was not only exhilarating way to travel but a real education as our boat captain helped by explaining the complex eco system that makes up the swamps and bayous. Feeding alligators and skimming along the water courses was an unforgettable experience. Thank you for the combined tour of Evergreen Plantation and the Airboat ride. I recommend this tour to others wishing to combine some education with a whole lot of fun. Cheers, John R. Pritchard

Hi Chris, I had a lengthy conversation with the group at Greene King on Friday afternoon... They said that they had a really great trip overall and everything tied in well and ran smoothly. With regards to the airboat adventure part, they said everything was informative and the airboats were amazing - a real experience. I believe they only came across a couple of alligators which disappointed a few but the actual fun and excitement from the airboats made up for it. They also enjoyed the Evergreen Plantation tour. I am very pleased we arranged the airboat experience as it got the group out of New Orleans - I think they found the city more commercialized than expected, so it was a good contrast! I'll let you know if I have any more feedback/pictures etc.. In the meantime, many thanks for all your help with specially arranging this trip. I had much confidence in you and would not hesitate to send further business your way. Many thanks and best regards, Tristan

I wasn't thinking and it slipped my mind. Please let me know where I can send him something. Thanks again for your hospitality even though we did not get to meet. Hi Chris, Our group of 4 was fortunate enough to spend the morning of June 25, 2002 with Alan as we wandered through the beautiful swamps of Louisiana. It took a little convincing for our group to leave the food and fun of New Orleans for a few hours, but it was worth the arm-twisting. It was our first trip to Louisiana, and even though a week has passed since we boarded our plane back to Los Angeles, our adventures in the bayou still creep into our everyday conversation. Alan was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. I wish we could have spent another 2 hours in his company. This was not just an airboat adventure, it was an education into the wildlife we only see on TV. We hope to come back and visit next year. We took the airboat tour on Saturday, June 8th with our friends from Long Beach. I expected the tour to be outstanding but it even exceed what I was hoping far. The scenery and wildlife were fantastic and Capt. Alan was great. He really was very funny but thoroughly professional when it came to handling the airboat and the wildlife (Cottonmouth snake and all!). It is definitely a trip I would do again when I'm in the area. Well, I HAVE to tell ya.....we had THE BEST time on our tour with Benjamin!!!! He was great! (and soooo cute too!, sorry Ben). I just hope his mother never finds out what he REALLY does out there, she would be worried sick! hee hee! He made ME nervous, getting out of the boat and into that water..reaching under roots and stumps to catch alligators!!! And then when he put that Cottonmouth up on the boat, I jumped as far back as I could get!!! But we all laughed and had a great time! The swamps were really beautiful..what a sight to see. Those airboats are sure the way to go! It was truly a wonderful adventure that we have shared with our friends in the stories and pictures (got some great alligator and, of course, cottonmouth pics)! I am sure our friends will hear it over and over and OVER again!!!! It was definitely the highlight of our trip. And Tim (the shuttle driver) was so cool too! For sure, I had to mention him. If we ever get back to that "neck of the woods" again, we will be sure and book another tour...and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Seriously, as a full blooded Cajun raised on (and in) the Bayou Teche, I know you can't fake a true love for the swamps and it's inhabitants. It's obvious that Ben LOVES what he does for a living, and even more obvious that he's GOOD at it - so keep up the good work, guy, and I'll be more than happy to recommend ya'll to anyone that asks, and even some that don't!!!!

What a marvelous experience. We really found this Swamp tour as informative and enjoyable as possible. It was like having a personal guide---heck, it was having a personal guide. And the tour of Evergreen exceeded our expectations. It is a lovely place, and the guide was informative and caring. It is moving to see the large number of extant slave quarters. This is a first-rate operation in all respects.

Chris - our people had a great time. Everyone felt the tour was well worth it and everyone was excited about seeing the alligators as well as the other wildlife we spotted. The beauty of the swamp speaks for itself. You were right - there were no mosquitoes or other nasty bugs. Since we were a diverse group from all over the world, the tour gave us a chance to really relax and relate to one another. Thank you so much for a great time. If we manage to get back to New Orleans we'll definitely do it again.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed the airboat ride we took on 6/4/02..Our guide Benjamin, even though he is an LSU alumni, did a great job!! His expertise with the swamp goes back to his childhood working with his dad..We have booked 7 tours with Airboat Adventures, and have enjoyed every one of them..Each tour has brought us new and exciting experiences..Thanks again..

We've told everyone in CT that our airboat adventure with Benjamin was one of the top highlights of our trip to New Orleans for our 10th anniversary in March. His stories and wildlife knowledge was great. We had a lot of fun--and I love telling everyone how he had my husband convinced that the gators love marshmallows because marshmallow trees are native to N.O.! Keep up the great work-we'd love to come back again. I'm sending you some shots we took during our visit with Queenie! Thanks again!

Dear Chris and Benjamin, Mere words are not enough to describe the wonderful and exciting adventure we had on your swamp tour. The ride in the airboat thrilling. The scenery was haunting and indescribably beautiful. The knowledge of the swamp and especially of alligators by our guide, Benjamin Richard, was vast, enthusiastically humorously displayed, and provided a terrific learning expeience everyone aboard. You guys could not have been more courteous, helpful, and downright professional from pisk-up to drop-off. I would reccomend your tour to anyone. We all, including my 8 year-old twin daughters, thought it was the very highlight of our trip, and we cannot thank you enough. We are looking forward to our next visit to New Orleans, and our next tour with Airboat Adventure Tours. Thank You, Lance Hancock

Hi Ben! I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful swamp tour that you took us on- May 28th. There were 5 in our group and we learned so much! We thank you again for not making us "gator bait" --even though you hated my gator hat! :) This was by far one of the best tours we have been on during the many times we have visited New Orleans! I would recommend it to anyone!

Took an airboat tour with Benjamin on Tuesday, May 28th. What a great experience! He's not only a great source of wildlife information, he's got a wonderful sense of humor as well. We all enjoyed the tour, the scenery, the alligators, etc. You have beautiful country there in Louisiana and it was very much enjoyed and appreciated by us Californians! Wow, I'm really behind in leaving this feedback! Sorry Benjamin, I'd hate for you to think we didn't have a good time.. I'm just lazy! :) We went for a tour the 2nd weekend of Jazz Fest after traveling all the way down from KY & WV and we had a wonderful time! I can't say enough good things about Benjamin and how informative and interesting he is.. heck you have to love a guy who'd consider trying to get a leech on him for a customer :) Also, thanks for recommending a plantation tour to add to our day, we went to Laura Plantation and I discovered it was a kind of continuation to a story/tour I'd taken in the French Quarter 2yrs before so that was a big plus for me. I'm working on getting some pictures online and if you would like to see them, drop me a note. Take care!

Hello Donnie, Chris & Ben- We were the "motley crew" from Southern California that had the pleasure of taking your airboat tour this past Sunday. Looking for a diversion from the French Quarters, but not wanting anything too "touristy", your swamp tour was PERFECT. Donnie, your love of the area and its wildlife really comes through. While there was a *cold snap* this weekend, you were still able to coax a few alligators out and even feed them some marshmallows! What a site that was! Being our first time to New Orleans, the trip was a memorable one. All five of us can whole-heartedly say that your tour was the highlight! Thanks so much, we will definitely be back. P.S. Tim, your shuttle driver, was fantastic too. Talked the whole time while transporting us to and from town. Filled us in with trivia and facts of the area. Excellent tour guide as well!

Dear Benjamin, just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our swamp experience. We were on vacation in New Orleans and Memphis for two weeks and one of the greatest highlights had to be our tour with you. We were lucky to be the only 2 on your tour that day and this just made the whole experience far more personal - we really appreciated the one to one ( or should I say two! ) experience. The tour was so informative without being boring and we learned so much about an unfamiliar territory. We don't get swamps or alligators in Scotland! Thank you so much for you courtesy, hospitality and a never to be forgotten part of our holiday to your beautiful State. We will come again. Sincerely Val McElroy and Stuart McNish.

Dear Chris Thank you very much for a fantastic airboat tour last Saturday. It's not an everyday occasion that we get to see alligators, poisonous snakes, and such alike in the wild, let alone be so up close and personal! Chris I must apologize for not sending my feedback. I have to burn some pictures I took into a CD to bring to the office and send to you. I just haven't had the time. We had a wonderful time. We lucked out with Oak Alley because we were there on a Sunday morning and there weren't many people. Evergreen Plantation was the best. As for the airboat tour, Ben was a hoot. The time went by fast. I will be trying to put a group of mostly ladies together for a trip to MSY in May of next year. I will be in contact because I would like to arrange the same for the group. The size is about 15-20 so we will probably have to use the larger boat. Anyway I will send the pictures so you can share them with Ben. Have a wonderful weekend. It has been cold up in the Upper Peninsula Of Michigan. We were 29 this morning but it is suppose to get up to 56 this Saturday. Wow out comes the bathing suit. We went on our Tour on Tuesday, April 31, 2001... and we had an awesome time with Alan. He knew a lot about what he was talking about which made it even more interesting. He was an awesome tour guide. Except that he wanted to vote me off of the boat. =) But he let us all stay in the boat. Although he wouldn't let me get out of the boat to dig for the railroad because I had white socks and my shoes on. (I wanted to) but he wouldn't let me. That's ok. We had an awesome time and plan on coming back in August to go on another one. I had a really awesome time. Thanks alot. Just next time... Alan- bring me a t-shirt to buy. =) Thanks again.

ATTENTION: FOR A GREAT ADVENTURE THROUGH THE SWAMPS, ASK FOR ALAN!!!!This was the most fantastic day of our entire New Orleans vacation. We have "toured" extensively and never seen the likes of Alan! He went WAY above and beyond any call of duty as a tour guide! But, the highlight of our trip was when Alan jumped off the boat and came up yelling, "I got him!!!" With all the excitement, (I didn't get a picture of Dennis helping you bring him aboard.) He was nameless, but, no more. His name is "Chopper". It was the most exciting, amazing, educational adventure!!!  Our first up close and personal moment with an alligator! Alan was extremely knowledgeable when it came to history of the bayou, swamps, alligators, birds, etc. Steve, The Crocodile hunter should take an airboat ride with Alan! The feeling of warm winds blowing, as we flew across the water, was a great reality, instead of a "Disney" simulator. Thank you ALAN, for creating such a happy moment. My 17 year old twins (Dennis and David) will never forget it. Dennis told you it was your day to catch the alligator!! And lucky for us, it really was!! We will be sending some pictures to your email address. PS, Thanks for the bottled water! Again, a million thanks!!!

Chris and Alan, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the tour we took last Friday 4/26/02. My husband and I were in town to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and the swamp tour was one of the best experiences we had during our stay in Louisiana. I have always been terrified by swamps and thought they were creepy, but after your swamp tour I now find them beautiful and very interesting! I love telling my story to people who ask what we did while in LA. We got to touch and hold a little alligator and we watched as you guys lured some larger ones closer to the boat! Absolutely amazing the respect you have for these animals. Alan got out of the boat and went in search of a cottonmouth for us to see. That is truly going above and beyond what we had expected. We appreciate your knowledge and love for what you guys do and I would recommend this trip to anyone spending time in or around New Orleans. Thanks again for the wonderful time!

Dear Chris, I'm sure you get tons of emails from people thanking you for the wonderful tour, and I'm going to do the same. My name is Amanda Brown and my mom is Cindy Brown, the travel agent. I wanted to thank you so much for the tour and for the cool nutria skull! My dad is going to bleach it for me. It is so cool and my family that has seen it thinks its really awesome as well. The tour was great, even though we didn't see a cottonmouth (which was probably better anyway!) The scenery in the swamps is so lovely...it would be really cool to study biology in the swamps. I can only imagine what sorts of things one might find! Well thank you again, I will always have the skull and can you believe it but I still have the swamp flower you gave me! I hope my mom and I can come back to New Orleans soon, and if/when we do, we'll be sure to go for another swamp tour. Thanks so much! Amanda

Chris, we took your AirboatAdventure this Sunday, and I must tell you it was the number one thing we did while in N.O. Your enthusiasm and knowledge was refreshing, especially after having taken several tours in New Orleans where they take it for granted you're just another uninformed tourist. Chris, thanks for calling me to transport your customers to your fantastic airboat tour. I was able to take the tour on Sunday, March 17, 2002 with 2 of your customers I picked up at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans . I have received a Airboat Adventures Baseball Cap and wear it while I work at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans Int'l Airport . I was also able to take the first people back to the airport as well as this last couple back to the airboat. All they spoke about was the airboat tour. Thanks for the note, Chris. We are all recovering from a wonderful trip to Louisiana . Your tour was certainly one of the highlights. Everyone enjoyed themselves. I really fell in love with the Evergreen Plantation tour. Rene' was fabulous. I honestly knew nothing about plantation history and daily life before this tour. She was able to help this Yankee get a real flavor for the time and the people. Lunch on the veranda was so special. Never in my life would I have imagined myself in that position. If you are thinking of changing anything, don't. Roy was a hoot, so patient with us and our lingering around. The swamp tour was great, too. I'm an outdoors person and was happy to see the sun. I'd like to see the swamp in the growing season , too. I'd never been in an airboat before, and like it a lot. I'll forward this note to the others for their comments. Hope this finds you all well. Hi Chris, Thx for your note. We had a better than great time for our entire stay in New Orleans, however we will need considerably more time to recover! The parade on Tuesday was wonderful - we have many, many beads and coconuts to remember it by. Your suggestion of Michaud's on St. Charles street was a great one - it was expensive but provided many amenities that enabled our group to last the entire 7 hours of the parade! A police officer that we met said that it is one of the safest locations in New Orleans to watch the parade from. I hope it did not take you too long to get out of the French Quarter and back to the airport of Sunday . We sure appreciated your help with the van pick up and delivery. Your were also a great tour guide on the drive out. The stop at the cafe was a real bonus. The consensus of the group was that Sunday was the best day of the entire trip - thank you! Chris, I am meeting with my travel agent later today and will give her a bunch of your brochures. I will also tell her of the wonderful time we had with you and will strongly recommend that she send all of her New Orleans travelers your way. She is one of the busiest and most successful travel agents in Alberta so hopefully you will see more of us Albertans over the next year or two. Once again Chris, a great big thank you. Joanne

Chris was a terrific guide and made us feel comfortable from the first moment. This is a great trip! And safe too. The women's early fears of falling into alligator infested waters were quickly put to rest by our guide's skillful handling of the airboat and vast knowledge of and experience with alligators. (The alligators we saw actually seemed tame.) The ride was unbelievably smooth, especially when traveling over logs and other debris in the water. It is amazing how you barely feel the boat go over those items. Having only one other couple on the boat really made us feel like we were privileged to have experienced the bayou.

Our family of 5 had an Airboat Adventure in early August with Allen. (Allen - sorry this is late) Allen was a STUPENDOUS guide. We wanted and education with our thrill ride - and we got both. Allen was funny, personal, and smart. He shared his insight and experiences of growing up on the bayou, and gave us a hands-on education of the environment and the swamp's history. Our afternoon with Allen and Airboat Adventures was one of the most memorable events of our vacation this year. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

Dear Chris, I thought I would be able to send this last week, but it has been very hectic and busy since returning from vacation. I know Ernie already sent you a thank you but I also wanted to thank you myself for the very enjoyable and informative tour you gave us through the swamp. A truly remarkable adventure. I couldn't believe the haunting beauty of the entire area and abundance of natures creatures, big and small. I especially loved all the egrets just flying out of everywhere in front of the boat, an incredible scene. I still can't believe the alligators ate the marshmallows. I truly fell in love with the swamp, we can't wait to return next year. I think I will have a try at driving the airboat, then. Dear Airboat Adventures, Just wanted you to know that our vacation to LA was excellent from 3-10 Aug 01. This is due to your outstanding guide, Mr. Benjamin Richard!!! My mother, 78; children,9 and5, along with their cousins, 11 and 9 continue to highlight the best part of their vacation was the airboat adventure--bar none!!! They continue to reminisce about absolutely the best afternoon they had--"UP CLOSE and PERSONAL" meetings with Benjamin and his friends--Junior, Queenie, and Brutus--hope I got the alligators names correct--were exactly what you advertised and Benjamin delivered. Please pass on our word of thanks to Benjamin for a 1st class job well done!!! We hope him the best at my wife's old alma mater, LSU. You can tell he loves being around wildlife and teaching others about it. Yes, it can only be attributed from his rearing  since he was a young boy. Regards to him please, The Wackerman family, Colorado Springs, CO Damian, Deirdre, Ethan(9), and Eliana (5)

I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful tour. I researched many before I decided on this one, and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the personal nature of the tour, just myself and two friends, and Benjamin, our guide. He was a lot of fun. Imagine my surprise when I spotted the first alligator, and Benjamin proceeded to jump right in to catch it!! Unfortunately, it got away, as did the second, and third we saw. Benjamin was upset that he did not catch one for us, especially after one bit his foot! Anyway, we had a great time, and took a lot of pictures of Junior, and Bubba, and we even got to see the momma gator. Oh, thanks for letting us hold the baby. It was a terrific photo opportunity! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone wanting a private, informative tour. This one is the best, the others can't possibly compare with their 30 person boats! THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!

PSull53487@cs.com  To the Boss, I recently booked a tour with your company and was very pleased with the experience. (8/15/01, Harasimowicz/Sullivan, 10:30AM) Our guide Benjamin Richard was in my opinion, a very knowledgeable individual. I only expected to ride around the wetlands and possibly see some "gators". Instead we received quite a bit of history about the logging through the swamp, the current pipeline, the Bald Eagle, and the wildlife in general. Ben gave in-depth information on the gators, along with introducing us to "Junior", and was told about the others. (Bubba, Momma gator in a burrow and the baby gator). Through this experience my family has learned much and really enjoyed the beauty of the wetlands. I will definitely recommend your "Airboat Adventures" to my friends and general public that I may talk to about my vacation. Thanks again for the great experience. Ask Ben if he's seen any swamp bunnies lately. My 7 year old daughter surprised him with knowing about them. Best of luck to Ben with his studies at LSU and you are fortunate in having him employed by your company.

We joined your tour on Monday August 20,2001. Benjamin was our guide and was absolutely wonderful! He had great knowledge, was enthusiastic about what he was doing, and was just great fun! We saw parts of the swamp a person only reads about. We were quite impressed with the way the tour was done. Benjamin was very authentic in his presentation without being condescending to "the tourists". Hope he does well in his endeavors. We will highly recommend you to anyone who considers a trip to the Cajun country. By the way, the credit card machine in the middle of no where was quite impressive. Isn't technology amazing?! Thanks for such a wonderful adventure. Although the humidity was TERRIBLE, the hospitality made up for it. Chris, Donnie, and Allan were exceptional. Allan will remember us, the 3 big sisters, from MO, IL,& CA and the "trouble" we had. Bet he has never had another group like us. Through all our silliness he was very professional and so knowledgeable about the area. I learned a lot that I will be able to share with my students when we return to school next month. This was the highlight of our vacation. This tour will be highly recommended to all my friends and relatives who venture to the New Orleans area. Good luck to you, Allan, in your upcoming marriage of Nov next year. The 3 sisters, Rose, Lil, and Bernie

CHRIS ON BEHALF OF MY WIFE, OUR FRIENDS CHRISTINE, BARRY AND HANS, WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY A BIG CANADIAN THANK-YOU FOR THE HOSPITALITY AND THE COOL ADVENTURE THAT YOU PROVIDED ALL OF US WITH LAST MONTH. WE LEARNED MORE ABOUT LOUISIANA FROM YOU IN THOSE TWO HOURS THAN ANY TOURIST BOOK COULD EVER DO. IT WAS NOT LIKE WE HAD EXPECTED, JUST A THRILL RIDE IN THE SWAMP. IT WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL AND SCENIC THANKS TO YOUR VAST KNOWLEDGE OF THE AREA AND THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU ENCOURAGE ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS WITHOUT GIVING US THE FEELING THAT IT WAS A QUESTION THAT YOU HAVE PROBABLY BEEN ASKED A HUNDRED TIMES. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED. YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET  MORE VALUE FOR YOUR DOLLAR!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. TERRY NISTOR

Good morning Chris, Believe it or not it was just about as hot and humid when we got back home Monday nite. Just want you to know that Ron and I thoroughly enjoyed the swamp tour. You certainly provide a wide range of information. Brutus was a hit as were the other gators. We could have spent hours in there ... just so much to see. Great value. Starting the journey with Ferdinand was a treat. He is a great ambassador for your business and just a real nice person. Please tell Ferdinand that Oliver picked us up at the hotel right on schedule. Again many thanks. We will recommend your tour to anyone we know is visiting within your area. If you ever plan a trip to the Toronto area please call us at home. We had the time of our lives. Capt. Allen was great. I had thought when making these reservations, that this would be something Megan and Marcus would never forget. I never dreamed it would be such an adventure. It was the highlight of our trip to New Orleans and I know that we all will always remember our alligator hunt. Thanks Allen for making this trip so interesting. We were all looking forward to seeing Brutus and he was everything we expected. Like Bob said, he let us see a side of the alligator's temperament.  I thought Megan was going to jump on my lap when he growled at us. It was awesome. Thanks again.

On July 25th, Dale and I lucked out in two ways. It didn't rain as the forecast promised, and we chose just the right tour . We have never been on a tour where we were treated with such personal attention. First of all, my husband and I were the only ones to show up, so I figured that the tour would be canceled, but we toured just as planned. That alone inspired "instant trust" due to your professionalism. We were also lucky to get Alan was our guide and from what I could tell, his main objective was to see that we had a great time and THAT is exactly what we did. Alan stopped the boat several times to talk to us about the different inhabitants in the swamp as well as the history thereof...not to mention catching a small alligator (that I got to hold) and showing us a real nest with eggs and much more. I told him that he's a "walking encyclopedia". He really knows about the area and loves to share it. We had a wonderful trip. Thank you so much for the best day of our vacation. Chris, It's July 10, 2001 and 1:06 a.m. I just flew back into B'ham from New Orleans and was still so excited about the swamp tour I took on Sunday (July 8) that I had to put the video of the trip on as soon as I walked in the door. Let me just say that watching it on television was almost as exciting as the real thing. I have several wonderful things to say about your your tour and tour guides but let me start by saying this: Mr. Benjamin Richard has got to be the best guide you have ever put on a swamp tour. He took my friends (Tina, Antonia, and Lucas from "Rolling Stone") and I out for what we thought we be a so-so adventure. Were we ever wrong! He turned it into a totally up close and personal event. He romped through the swamp in hip-waders, attempted to catch a four foot alligator for us to touch (sorry I screamed and ruined it for everyone Benjamin), and basically risked life and limb for us to have a good time. He had an answer for every question and was just an overall excellent guide. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job. I hope that he is a guide for a very long time, as well, I hope that those gators don't decide to turn him into an all night buffet. You've made an excellent choice in guides and the tour was absolutely fabulous!! I would have gladly paid double or even triple for the all the fun and excitement. Please keep up the good work and by all means give Benjamin a well-deserved raise. I will recommend this tour to everyone I know. I have some great video that I would be more than willing to send to you if you are interested. Thank you for a wonderful time! I hope to do it again real soon, and I hope that Benjamin is available to be our guide.

We had a fantastic time on our airboat adventure. Benjamin was just great. He was knowledgeable and he was so down to earth and friendly. He made all of us feel right at home. He was constantly pointing out the wildlife, and we all got to hold an alligator. We were so pleased with our tour, and we would definitely recommend this to all of our friends. June 2, 2001 Last week the four of us celebrated my 50th birthday in New Orleans. The highlight of the trip was our airboat tour. Our guide, Benjamin, who is a Wildlife Management student at LSU, was both knowledgeable and fun to be with. We saw snakes, owls. birds and of course alligators. It was a thrill when Benjamin jumped out of the boat to catch a 2 year old alligator for us to hold. We got some great pictures. As an added bonus, our two hour trip lasted two and one half hours. This trip was would be worth it at double the price! If you are staying in New Orleans, rent a car in the morning and visit Oak Alley Plantation for breakfast and tour then go to the 1:00 airboat tour. You'll have a full day a fun and be back in town to return the car by 5:00. Keep up the great work Benjamin, Chris and Donnie. Mike

I can't remember the name of our guide (he's about to graduate from LSU) but he was great and we learned a lot. I'm recommending your tour to all my friends here in Alabama. Here are a couple of pictures from the tour. That's me and the gator. I'm gonna frame it. Please pass the one of our guide on to him. If you decide to put this up on the website please don't include my email, my company doesn't like it. Is the name of the swamp we toured the "Tchachou Bayou?" Could you pass along the name of our guide to me? Thanks again. Mark

I came to New Orleans for the first time in March 2001 and had a great time. We walked all over the French Quarter and saw all kinds of interesting things , rode on the steam boat , went to the plantations and went on another swamp tour which we enjoyed very much. But your swamp tour was more interesting and exciting and left us with more memories than anything we did or saw. Donnie was our guide and was fantastic at describing everything and answering all of our questions and relating the history. The airboat ride was just as much of a thrill as we expected. You have my recommendation as a great tour---when we come back we will see you again. Thanks Butch and Nancy

I can only say "I loved the whole experience and look forward to a time when I can return for another Swamp Adventure." Hi, Chris! All that anticipation, and now our swamp tour is long finished. We had a wonderful time, although I think Alan was a little nervous, knowing that he was competing with the pro. After what I believe to be some pretty thorough research, we booked an airboat tour with Airboat Adventures. And it was absolutely the best choice. Donnie was our guide through an exciting, yet relaxing trip through the swamp. It was obvious that Donnie knew this swamp like the back of his hand and he introduced us to a world that none of us were really aware of. Often when you picture the word swamp in your mind, the image is dark and somewhat scary. However, the swamp that Donnie showed was lush, beautiful and in a word, awesome. One of the highlights for me, was when Donnie hopped out of the boat, caught a young alligator and then placed it into my hands to hold. It was incredible to hold that alligator. Above all, however, it was clear to me that this was more than just a business for Donnie. He has an obvious respect for the swamp and all the creatures that inhabit it. If I ever visit New Orleans again, I will definitely take this trip again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!

Dear Chris and Donnie, Want to let you know that my tour through the swamp on April 6th was the highlight of my trip to New Orleans. Visiting different cities is always fun but I get more delight out of experiencing the beauty and diversity of nature. Your love for the swamp was evident. The swamps beauty, scent and images will remain with me forever. Hey Chris I took a boat tour with you while attending a conference there a week ago.  I had a great time, it was the highlight of my entire trip to New Orleans.  When I got back people were asking me about Bourbon Street and Riverwalk, but when I showed them the pictures I took from the airboat ride they immediately got envious.   It was a great experience for me, something I have wanted to do since watching "Gentle Ben" when I was a kid.
You made the tour exciting and fun. . Thanks alot..

My partner and I took a swamp tour last week (March 19, 2001) with Chris. This trip was our first to New Orleans, and we enjoyed every part of it; however, the airboat tour with Chris was the best part by far! We were thrilled with the personal nature of the tour. Chris was willing to stop, answer questions, and teach us about every aspect of the swamp. We got to see many species native to the swamp that we'd never seen before, and we learned so much!
While we were in New Orleans, we also took a swamp tour with a company that does larger groups (about 25-30 per boat, maybe). While that tour was good, the tour we had with Chris was so far superior that I can't even begin to compare the experiences. While the cost with Airboat Adventures is a bit higher than some other tours, the experience we had (as compared to the lower priced tour) was so amazing, it was worth every penny we spent. We were both sad when the boat came back to the dock, and we both have already talked about doing another tour if we make it back to New Orleans. Our son is a year old this week; we're already planning to bring him someday, specifically so he can experience the swamp from the perspective of someone who knows it so well, has such a passion for it and is so good at sharing that passion with others!
Thanks, Chris, for the wonderful trip! The pictures we have from that part of our vacation will likely be the most treasured of them all! We will both readily recommend to anyone who asks (and to those who don't, as well!) that THE company with whom to take a swamp tour is Airboat Adventures!
Thanks again for the amazing experience! We'll hope to see you again for another mesmerizing trip through your beautiful swamp!

Good Morning Chris:
Shantel and I would like to "Thank You Very Much" for the tour through the many bayous on Saturday March 10, 2001. We really had a great time seeing nature up close and personal! We are recommending your tour to all of our friends. The next time we return to Louisiana we will most definitely take your tour again. We fully agree that this is not just another plain tour, but a very interesting and fun adventure!
The hilight of the tour would have to be seeing the Barred owl in the old Cypress tree stump with her offspring. That was really amazing.  We also enjoyed the personal attention and the in-depth knowledge of the swamps and bayous provided.
Shantel & Shann
P.S. We also loved the witty bayou joke!

We just got back from 8 days in Louisiana and one very special highlight was the TERRIFIC swamp tour we enjoyed last week.  We had heard that some folks had taken other tours and felt dissatisfied because they were not able to enter deep into the swamp and were as if on an open river.  This tour is perfect - we went into areas that appeared as though they had never been traveled before.  Our guide - Chris - was great and obviously loves this country and it's wildlife and shared that feeling with us.  WE RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO EVERYONE!!

Chris, I have to confess that when the travel company suggested this adventure for our business group recreation, we were somewhat skeptical.  However, you and Donnie provided not only a nice boat ride through some pretty country, but an educational experience we'll long remember.  It was interesting as well as exciting.  From the wildlife, to fauna, to the history of the swamp lands, your knowledge and the desire to make the learning fun made for a great afternoon.  I'd recommend it to anyone.

Dear Chris,
We just returned home from our Spring Break trip to Louisiana.  The highlight of the trip was the airboat trip through the swamp.  Your expert information regarding the flora and fauna life of the swamp made it not only enjoyable, but educational.  The boys keep talking about the snakes, gators and nutria.  Even though I grew up in the New Orleans area, I had NEVER experienced the swamp this way. WHAT A BLAST!!! Your kindness in accommodating our last minute plans due to inclement weather was also greatly appreciated.  My experience is few guides/merchants are as accommodating.  I will always recommend that my friends visit you for an airboat ride when in New Orleans.  I know we'll do one again in the future.

Chris.
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip on Friday the 9th, even though it was cold and windy.  Due to your thoughtfulness we were very comfortable with the blankets and earmuffs.  Here in New Jersey this morning I had to scrape frost off my windshield, (boy how I wished I was back there). You guys do a great job,  Donnie was a fantastic guide, my husband was impressed with how he could answer anything we asked him.  I could not get over how close we could get to the owl on her nest.  My son thought it was neat how Donnie would jump out of the boat and to catch an alligator or to show us things.  I don't know if we ever will go down there again, but if we do we will be back!!  A co-worker is going down there this summer and I am going to tell her if she doesn't do anything else she has to go on an airboat tour with you guys!!
Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Chris and Donnie,
Thank you for the incredible ride around your swamp last monday.  Wish it would have been warmer, but it was a sunny beautiful day for boating in the airboat.  What a thrill to take a ride in the airboat.  The swamp stole the show as you had told me it would on the phone.  We are going to be in LA again someday and we will make sure it is in May so we can take another ride when it is warmer.  Donnie was a fantastic tour operator in the swamp, he had some great stories and interesting facts all during the afternoon.

I wanted to let you know that staying 5 days in New Orleans last week, your tour of the amazing swamp was my all out favorite. I have told everyone about it and took fantastic pictures. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone to do. It is completely mesmerizing. I have already given your name and number to several people who are heading down there to visit. I would not show them my pictures due to the fact I think the first look at the beauty is breathtaking and should experience firsthand. Thank you again and if you ever need any more partners in your adventures give me a ring.

We had a blast! Your knowledge and enthusiasm was so refreshing. Not knowing quite what to expect on a "swamp tour," we could not have been more pleased. We would whole-heartedly recommend your tour to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and intrigue of a Louisiana swamp. You (and nature) have designed a wonderful adventure which we will never forget. We thank you for helping to make our trip incredible!

Dear Chris, We finally got the pics taken during your tour, and immediately we wanted to come back for another ride. We were looking not just for a tour but to learn about the swamps and the life in and around it. You gave us a really knowledgeable and informative tour where the only downside was to have to return to shore. I hope one day we can come back. Thanks Marco and Tiziana London UK

Absolutely superb afternoon on the airboat back in September. Back in the UK enjoying the pictures we'd taken, we thought we really ought to add our praise of the trip, certainly the highlight of our holiday! We're telling all our friends to come and do your tour, it's so unique,...oh and to take a bag of marshmallows with them! Hope Junior is still taking the chicken from you.

Dear Chris, just got back to South Africa and thought I'll tell you what an unforgettable time I had with you on Wednesday in your swamp. Coming from a country like South Africa we often think we've seen it all, because there is rarely a country in the world which can beat our animal and plantlife, the stunning sunsets over the bushveld, our skies literally aglow with stars or a gamewalk in the early morning. Since my time in S.A. (over 20 years now, originally born and bred in Germany) I have always been a 'bushbaby' and usually take two or three vacations in the wild per year. I've seen the big five at close range and learned to fear our poisonous snakes ( I lost 3 of my dogs from cobra-bite when I was living on a farm). What you have in the Louisiana swamps defies all description! Being a visual person by trade I was totally spell-bound by the new vistas awaiting past every turn in the bayou, from mystical forests to landscaped gardens, this trip just blew me away! What more can I say, it was an experience of a lifetime and I definitely want to come back, if it wasn't for our abysmal exchange rate. Thank you again for sharing this wonderful world with us.

We have taken 5 or 6 tours with Chris in the last few years. Every time it has been a delight and an adventure. There is no comparison between "airboat adventures" and the other swamp tours we have taken. The difference in price is well worth it, considering the personal attention given and the knowledge that Chris is able to share. We will be taking another tour in dec.2000 with chris, and can't wait to see what the swamp holds..

Chris, We just wanted to tell you what an awesome time we had with you on Wednesday, August 30,2000. We knew we didn't want to go on one of those big "sightseeing" boats. We chose you because your ad sounded just like what we were looking for and boy was it and then some. This trip was more like a complete eco-tour. I feel like we got a real feel for the swamp , the bayou and it's inhabitants as well as what it might have been like to grow up around it. Your professionalism, knowledge and conscientiousness was very evident and much appreciated. Your love of your job and your genuine respect for the ecology was obvious and inspiring. This was exactly what we were looking for. I still can't believe how close we got to a snake and a bunch of alligators. And no wonder Brutus loves you and Steven. We did too!!! Thanks for a great trip. This really was the highlight of our visit to New Orleans. And that is really sayting a lot because we truly enjoyed our entire stay! Thanks Again , Janet and Neal Wolle

Chris, thank you very much for the fantastic trip through the swamp. I have always hoped to see part of it and now I have. I was always aware of a vague connection between the Mississippi Delta and the Bayou, but thanks to you and your passion for the swamp, I now have a much clearer idea of the roles they play. Your knowledge and concern for the swam is truly admirable. Thank you so much for the highlight of my trip to New Orleans, I shall return.

Dear Chris, Just wanted to thank you for the awesome tour we had on August 15th. From some of the other airboats ads I saw, I was nervous about being on an airboat since in that ad the airboat was doing 360 degree turns at high speeds. However, my experience with your company was tremendous. It was professional, fun, and extremely adventurous without being dangerous; meaning I never thought I would actually hold a baby alligator or see alligators eating marshmallows. We saw so much we would've missed if the boat had been going too fast. I hope your gave "medium" alligator a worthy name after eating all those marshmallows. Your knowledge of the swamp eco-system made our tour like a informative science trip adventure. We told the hotel we stayed at to recommend it to other guests. Next time in New Orleans, we will see you again. Thanks again. Best Wishes, Jacqueline Gill

Hey Chris! All I can still say almost a week later is that this was one of the best experiences of my life! I am the one who insisted that Paula (see entry below) and I do something touristy. I never thought I would be able to say that I have held an alligator, but thanks to you and Edwin, now I can. The swamp was beautiful, and you added to it by spotting and catching different wildlife for us to see up close and personal. The airboat was a lot of fun, I have to admit I liked the speed! Can't wait to do it again maybe in a different season or different time of day. Thanks again for a great experience I'm sure we will be back! Jennifer

Hi Chris! I wanted to thank you for the wonderful time I had on Sunday! I had the chance to "play tourist" while my best friend was visiting from out of town. He main request was to take a swamp tour. I have to admit I wasn't too keen on the idea at first. Boy was I in for a shock!! It was so nice to get out of the French Quarter and be surrounded by nature! I don't think I stopped smiling from the moment we left the dock till I went to sleep that night! Your knowledge and love of the swamp was so impressive! (And the ride in the airboat was truly exciting!!) I can't forget to mention your "Swamp Guide Trainee", Edwin. He'll be a great guide when you get through with him. (If Brutus doesn't get him first!) :) Working in the Quarter, I speak to my fair share of tourists, and I'll be sure to tell them about the great time I had on your tour! I'm looking forward to having out-of-town guests again so that I can show them a different side of the typical New Orleans vacation! Thanks again and I'm sure I'll see you in the future!! Paula

Dear Chris, My two young sons couldn't stop talking about how studly they were to hold that gator on our recent trip with you. And they think you're cooler than the Crocodile Hunter for getting out of the boat and grabbing that gator for them to see. The only downside is that they think we need an airboat now! To anyone reading this, you've got to go on one of Chris' trips if you're visiting New Orleans. Chris' warm personality and informative tour really make the trip a delight. And the excitement of the airboat ride is great for adults and kids. This beats the usual swamp tours in conventional boats by a mile! Thanks again for the great tour...we'll be sure to make a return visit the next time we're in 'Nawlins. Hopefully you'll still have all your fingers! Best regards, Chris Fischer

Hey Chris, I just wanted to thank you again for the 2 great tours of the swamps, Bayou's and the wildlife. It was an excellent addition to my first trip to Louisiana. The vacation I took would have definitely been much less without it. I showed the pictures I took to my sister that owns a large travel agency here in Connecticut and told her all about how you went out of your way to make you tours both exciting safe and informative. So she is going to recommend your tour to any of her clients that are going on vacations to the New Orleans area. I will also e-mail you some of the pictures that I took in hopes that you can use them on your web sight or for other advertising. I had a great time Chris Thanks again, great job. Jim Naylor

Chris, What a neat experience we had today (7/6/00) on your airboat. Off the plane from Kansas City at 10:30 this morning and on your airboat at 1:00. Prior to making our trip, I called several of the swamp tour places. One of the swamp tours (that only has those covered boats that hold a lot of people), told us that airboats scare off all the animals, and tried hard to convince me we should take the nice covered boat tour. They told me airboats scare off all the animals and that their quiet covered boats were the best way to see many animals. I didn't buy into their sales pitch, and I'm glad I didn't. (For anyone else who may be reading this, we saw plenty of animals up close!) Chris, the two gators you caught today and let us hold, made for a unique experience for our two sons. I was surprised when you even got my wife convinced to hold the gator too. The huge gators you got to come up next to the boat, made the trip even more spectacular. I'm glad we chose your personable airboat tour. Great job! Hope all goes well for you. Thanks for a great experience!!!

Hi. Just wanted to let you know how much my parents and I enjoyed our airboat trip last week. We live in different parts of the country and decided to meet in New Orleans to spend a few days together - our visit to the swamp was the highlight of our visit! We really appreciated the extra time Donnie spent with our group in an effort to snare an alligator or nutria, and to show us some of the hunting cabins. The varmints were sneaky that day, and although he didn't catch any, we saw them up close nonetheless. (I think my mom is actually relieved!) Thanks so much! I think it's important for people to experience our environment and wildlife, and you certainly offer that opportunity! I hope to make it back some day and will definitely make another reservation with Airboat Adventures. In the meantime, I'll recommend your company to friends. Thanks, again. Debra Gregor

Hi Chris Just a note to let you know how much Merilyn, Lisbet and I enjoyed our swamp tour last Sunday. The whole trip was great and we really appreciated the "Trail of Tears" contrast that allowed us to compare several personalities that are part of the unique characteristics of the area. We will be back in New Orleans next year and hope to avail ourselves of your offer to take us to some places that are not on the standard tour route. I thank you for your offer to discount the next tour on the basis that we were rushed but I really find that unnecessary as the trip was well worth what we paid. I hope you, your family and the business have a great year and we look forward to seeing you and the bayou next year. Regards Bill Bryan

Hi! We had such a great time! We could've stayed in the swamps cruising around another 2-3 hrs. - and we should have! There was an accident on the freeway, and we just sat for 45 minutes! Anyway, we ended up at Delmonico's which was very good, but we had really been looking forward to Brigtsens. Anyway, Commander's was great> The turtle soup and bread pudding soufflé were to die for! I'm going to try and figure out how to make it. I might try e-mailing them and seeing if they will give the recipe; some restaurants do. One thing we liked about the time in the swamp was it was relaxing, not speeding around, and not planned minute to minute so if you wanted to see something you could, etc. Chris, feel free to use us as a reference.  Our airboat adventure turned out to be the best part of our trip to New Orleans. After looking at lots of options for boats into the swamp, we're really glad we chose yours. The small boat made the trip not seem so "touristy" and gave us the chance to ask lots of questions. The ride out to the boat launch, including a tour of the Laura Plantation, and a quick gumbo lunch at a Vacherie fish market/restaurant was real Louisiana. Ryan got some great video of the tour, including the up close visit with the snake! We will recommend you to all our friends who decide to visit New Orleans, and hope to take another tour with you again someday! Thanks again! Steve, Barbara and Ryan Linick - San Antonio, Tx

Chris, I sent out the CD today with all of the pics we took on our tour with you a few weeks ago. I hope they work for you-some of them are pretty good! Thanks again for a great experience! We are already planning another trip to NO, so we'll be sure to give you a call and make another run. A quick question for you: during our jaunt near the alligator nest, I mistakenly took one of the eggs and brought it back with me. Now it's moving around, cracking a little, and making some noises. Should we be concerned? What do they eat? How big do they get? How long will our tub of water hold it? How will it interact with our cats and the other neighbor kids? Will it walk on a leash? Anyways, thanks again for the experience of a lifetime!! Regards,
